Union Minister Nitin Gadkari brushed off the criticism around the government’s ethanol-blended petrol plan, saying the attacks are just politically motivated. Speaking at an event in Nagpur, he said, “My brain is worth ₹200 crore a month. I’m not short of money, and I don’t stoop low.”

The government has been pushing for petrol mixed with 20% ethanol (E20), calling it a cleaner fuel that also helps farmers earn more from crops like sugarcane and maize.
