Meet India’s first Ford endeavour converted into a Hummer H2

In India, various workshops are engaged in remarkable car modification projects, transforming vehicles into entirely different models. A notable example is a first-generation Ford Endeavour that has been converted into a Hummer H2 SUV. The extensive modifications include a new front grille, headlamps, bumper, bonnet, windscreen, fenders, wheel arches, and tires, with many parts being custom-made. The final product, shared by Mihir Galat on YouTube, features a fiberglass front grille and aftermarket round headlamps, giving it an iconic Hummer look without the typical chrome finish.

The project’s creator imported the windscreen and windows from a Hummer, extending and widening the Endeavour’s body to match Hummer’s dimensions. The vehicle sports 18-inch alloy wheels with 35-inch MT tires, metal body panels, roof marker lights, metal roof rails, and aftermarket LED tail lamps. The interior, finished in brown, includes custom seat covers, a dashboard, a steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, G-Wagen inspired AC vents, ambient lights, and a driver armrest, making it a well-rounded 4×4 SUV.

Such ambitious projects cost around Rs 18-20 lakh, depending on the customization. While the modification may not be the cleanest, it convincingly resembles an original Hummer from various angles, demonstrating the high level of craftsmanship and creativity involved in car modifications in India.
