Accidents on the road are frequently caused by carelessness, as demonstrated by a recent incident in Gurugram, Haryana. CCTV footage shared by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel shows a Mahindra Thar climbing an electric pole after a collision with a Honda Amaze sedan. The Thar, driven by a woman, was slowly crossing an intersection when it was hit near the rear wheels by the Amaze. This caused the woman to panic and mistakenly press the accelerator instead of the brakes, leading the SUV to crash into the pole.
After the crash, the Mahindra Thar ended up almost vertically parked against the pole. Fortunately, the woman driver managed to escape unhurt with the help of locals. The video also shows the side of the Thar where the Amaze hit it as being damaged, and it is expected that the front of the SUV was also affected. Despite the severity of the situation, both vehicles were in drivable condition.

The Amaze driver fled the scene after the accident, which is a punishable offense. Ideally, he should have checked on the Thar driver, reported the accident, and shared his details before leaving. Both drivers are at fault for not being more cautious, highlighting the importance of patience and vigilance, especially at intersections.
