A Volvo C40 Recharge caught fire while driving on a highway in Chhattisgarh, with the incident recorded by the vehicle owner who thankfully escaped unharmed.
The electric SUV is seen parked on the hard shoulder, engulfed in flames, particularly on the driver’s side. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire, and Volvo has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
Launched in September of the previous year with a price of Rs 61.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Volvo C40 Recharge is equipped with dual electric motors generating 402 BHP and 660 Nm. It features a 78 kWh battery providing a maximum range of 530 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).
