According to media reports, Volkswagen is expected to launch facelift versions of the Taigun and Virtus by late 2025 or early 2026. The updates are anticipated to include cosmetic changes inspired by the brand’s latest global models. To enhance their competitiveness in their respective segments, Volkswagen is likely to introduce new features, such as ADAS, although no mechanical updates are expected.
Both models will continue to be powered by the same 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, which are set to comply with emission norms until 2027.
Additionally, Volkswagen is reportedly planning to introduce a compact SUV based on the Skoda Kushaq, slated for release in 2026. This move aligns with VW’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the compact SUV market.
