In 2024, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are becoming a standard feature in vehicles, enhancing safety by preventing accidents before they occur. Initially introduced by MG Motors, ADAS is now available across various models, including different price points and body types. Here’s a look at five upcoming SUVs equipped with ADAS, set to launch in 2024/2025.
1. Mahindra Thar 5-Door
The Mahindra Thar 5-Door, also known as the Thar Armada, is expected to feature a level-2 ADAS system similar to the XUV700. Spotted multiple times with ADAS camera setups, it is set to launch soon, with an expected price up to Rs 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
2. Tata Curvv
The Tata Curvv, an upcoming coupe SUV, will feature level-2 ADAS (camera + radar), making it the most affordable Tata model with this technology. Debuting as an EV during the festive season of 2024, the Curvv will also be available in petrol and diesel variants, offering a range of 450-500 km.
3. Kia EV9
The Kia EV9, Kia’s flagship SUV, will feature an extensive list of ADAS capabilities, including AWD hardware and a range of 650-700 km. Imported via CBU routes, the EV9 is expected to be priced around Rs 1 crore (on-road, Mumbai).
4. Hyundai Creta EV
The Hyundai Creta EV will include a level-2 ADAS suite similar to the Creta facelift. Offering additional ADAS features for the rear, the Creta EV is expected to launch by late 2024 or early 2025, with pricing comparable to the Tata Curvv.
5. Jeep Meridian
The Jeep Meridian facelift will feature ADAS in an effort to boost sales in the Indian market. Spotted with an ADAS suite, the updated model is expected to introduce various new features and will continue to be equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine.
