Healthy Car mileage is one of the best signs of a sound vehicle condition. But maintaining your car mileage, in the long run, is a challenging task as the car is subjected to bumpy roads, extreme weather conditions, wear and tear, etc. Therefore, here are a five tips to improve your car’s mileage:-
.Easy operation– Try operating the Accelerator, Brake and Clutch as smoothly as possible. Avoid applying them harshly and unnecessarily as this will stress the engine more and reduce fuel efficiency.
.Tyre pressure– A low tyre pressure results in increased fuel consumption as the friction between the tyre and the road tends to increase. An over-inflated tyre will damage the grip of the tyres and make your ride jarring.

.Increase the gear– Any regular car driver is aware of the fact that driving the car in the highest gear reduces fuel exhaustion. Driving the car in low gear causes more acceleration and thereby pressurises the engine. This results in increased fuel burning. Hence, driving the car at 2,000 rpm for Petrol and 1,500 rpm for Diesel gives the best outcome in terms of fuel-saving and speed.
.Reduce car weight– A heavier car will stress the tyres more and will cause increased fuel consumption. Therefore, remove any unnecessary luggage and heavy object which might increase the weight of the car.

.Maintain the originality– The original parts of the car are fitted keeping in mind the goals set by the manufacturer. Changing the company fitted parts changes the efficiency of other parts. For instance, attaching spoilers and wings increases the wind resistance and makes the engine stress more.
