Reckless driving on public roads is becoming increasingly normalized, which is concerning for public safety. In a recent incident, the Ahmedabad city traffic police took action against six individuals who were seen performing dangerous stunts with multiple SUVs on public roads. A video of the stunts, involving vehicles like a Mahindra Thar, Tata Harrier, and Mahindra Scorpio, went viral online, prompting widespread criticism and calls for police intervention. The individuals were reportedly blocking the SG Highway and causing significant disruption to other road users.
Six people arrested for recklessly driving Thar and Harrier on public roads
Following numerous complaints, the Ahmedabad police identified and arrested six men involved in the incident: Max Patel, Pritam Semria, Govindsing Chauhan, Miteshgiri Gauswami, Aashish Prajapati, and Ishwarsinh Rathod. However, one of the accused, Manish Goswami, remains at large. An FIR has been lodged by the SG-2 Traffic Police Station, and authorities are actively pursuing the remaining suspect.
Stunts on public roads are not only illegal but also incredibly dangerous, as they put both the stunt performers and innocent road users at risk. The video shows the SUVs being driven recklessly on a busy highway, with drivers swerving between lanes and blocking traffic. Such irresponsible behavior can lead to serious accidents and endanger the lives of all road users involved
