Tata Punch EV has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric vehicle is available in five variants, offering two battery pack options, contributing to Tata Motors’ portfolio of four all-electric models.
Externally, the Punch EV maintains a silhouette similar to its internal combustion engine counterpart but incorporates design cues from the Nexon EV, such as a full-width LED light bar, a vertical slat-patterned grille, split LED headlamps, and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels. A notable difference is the placement of the charging flap at the front, featuring a motorized opening/closing mechanism, distinguishing it from the Nexon EV.
With a choice of ten colors, including four monotones like Seaweed Green, Daytona Grey, Fearless Red, Empowered Oxide, and Pristine White, the Punch EV offers an array of options. In terms of features, the Punch EV surpasses the ICE version, equipped with a spacious 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and a redesigned HVAC panel with touch capacitive buttons. Additional features include automatic climate control, a wireless charger, a jeweled gear selector dial, an electronic parking brake, six airbags, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree surround camera.
The Punch EV is driven by a single motor paired with two battery options: a 25kWh unit and a 35kWh unit. The Standard Range version features the 25kWh unit, while the Long Range trims come with the 35kWh unit. The ex-showroom prices for the Punch EV variants are as follows:
