In recent years, many commuters have switched to electric vehicles (EVs) for their cost-efficiency, but some new car buyers face challenges that affect their ownership experience. A Tata Nexon EV owner from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, shared her ordeal online, revealing that her vehicle broke down five times within two months of purchase, necessitating a battery change after persistent requests.

The owner, who commutes over 160 km daily to Noida, chose the Tata Nexon facelift Fearless+ MR for its affordability. However, she regretted her decision as the car first broke down 18 days post-delivery and continued to fail every 20 days due to a draining smaller battery. Despite these issues, she praised Tata’s service and recommended the car, though she noted its actual range fell short of the 350 km claimed, reaching only 210 km on highways.
