Tata Motors has announced that the Tata Nexon will receive a CNG variant within this fiscal year, slated for launch in the Indian market later in 2024. The new Nexon iCNG, which was recently displayed at the Bharat Mobility Show, incorporates Tata’s innovative twin-cylinder technology. This setup uses two compact 30-litre cylinders positioned beneath the boot floor, optimizing luggage space.

The Nexon iCNG will feature a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, marking it as the first CNG vehicle equipped with a turbocharged engine. While the engine generates 118 BHP and 170 Nm in petrol mode, the exact performance figures for CNG mode have yet to be revealed. Upon release, the Nexon iCNG will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG in the Indian market.
