Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has started local assembly of select variants of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, resulting in significant price reductions. The locally-assembled Range Rover is now available in the 3.0L Petrol LWB Autobiography and 3.0L Diesel LWB HSE trims, priced at Rs 2.60 crore and Rs 2.36 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. This marks a substantial price drop of approximately Rs 56 lakh compared to the Completely Built Unit (CBU) versions.
The Range Rover Sport, now available in the Dynamic SE trim, is priced at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom), reflecting a substantial price cut of Rs 29 lakh. These models are part of JLR India’s initiative to expand its local manufacturing capabilities and make its luxury vehicles more accessible to the Indian market.
The assembly of these models will take place at JLR India’s plant in Pune, where other models like the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Jaguar F-Pace are also produced. Deliveries of the locally assembled Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are set to begin on August 16, 2024, marking a new chapter in JLR India’s commitment to offering premium vehicles at more competitive prices.
