Tata Motors will unveil the Tata Curvv SUV-coupe on August 7, 2024. This marks India’s first mass-market SUV-coupe, targeting the compact SUV segment with competitors like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. Both ICE and EV versions will debut simultaneously.
Design & Features
The Curvv features a design inspired by the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, with connected LED DRLs, a distinct grille for the ICE, and a closed front for the EV. It has a coupe-style roofline, flush-type door handles, and connected LED tail lights.
Inside, the Curvv is expected to have a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. Safety features might include 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, and Level 2 ADAS.
Powertrain
The ICE version will offer a 1.2-liter T-GDi turbo-petrol engine with 125 PS and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 PS. Transmission options include a 6-speed MT and a 7-speed DCT. The EV is expected to offer two battery packs with a range of around 500 km, built on the Acti.ev platform with features like DC fast charging and adjustable energy regeneration.

Pricing & Rivals
The Tata Curvv EV is expected to start at Rs 20 lakh, competing with the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Creta EV. The ICE version, priced from Rs 10.50 lakh, will rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and other compact SUVs.
