Maruti Suzuki is planning to bring a new compact MPV to India, expected around 2026. It’s called the YDB and will be based on the Suzuki Spacia, a small car from Japan. While the Japanese version has two rows of seats, the Indian YDB might have three rows, making it a bit longer but still under 4 meters.
Unlike the Spacia’s sliding doors, the Indian YDB may have regular doors to keep costs lower. It might use a 1.2-litre petrol engine from the Swift, offering manual and automatic options. Positioned below the Ertiga and XL6, this MPV will compete with the Renault Triber in India. Exciting times for new cars!
