Here are 9 reasons not to purchase Mahindra Scorpio-N (by Owner) :
- Some omissions are nearly unforgivable in modern vehicles. The absence of an auto-dimming IRVM, lack of a UV-cut windshield, and outdated seat-belt mechanisms reminiscent of early 2000s cars are particularly glaring.
- Software glitches are prevalent. I’ve encountered problems with Android Auto connectivity, HDC errors, a blank instrument cluster, and intermittent Adrenox connectivity. While most of these issues can be resolved by restarting or disconnecting the battery terminal, they remain frustrating.
- The approach, breakover, and departure angles are poor. The placement of the DEF tank makes the departure angle especially problematic for off-roading.
- Additionally, the underbody protection is inadequate. Owners should exercise caution while off-roading or invest in aftermarket underbody covers from brands like PRAD or Bimbra.
- Mahindra’s genuine accessories are of low quality. Floor mats, plastic claddings, and scuff plates are substandard, making aftermarket options a better choice.
- The highly touted 12-speaker audio system is disappointing for audiophiles, with compromised speaker quality and amplification hardware.
- The camera quality is not up to par for a 30 lakh rupee SUV, especially compared to the superior clarity of the XUV700’s cameras.
- Headlights are inadequate. Despite having a good cutoff due to the projector setup, the intensity is insufficient, making them ineffective on unmarked 2/4 lane highways.
- The unusual tire size lacks good A/T options, and the narrow 7.5J rims are not suitable even for the stock 255 section tires.
