An ardent Shah Rukh Khan lover must be aware of his love for cars and hovering in them during leisure time. He owns a garage full of expensive and imported cars from all around the world. Though his first car was a Maruti Suzuki Omni, which was given by his mother but in today’s time he owns a car collection larger than Maruti Suzuki.
What caught everyone’s attention is the rare video of young Khan driving a Mitsubishi Pajero SFX. The video is shot by Wild Films India. The car is believed to be imported from some other country, as the model was not even launched in the Indian market at the time of this video footage.
In those days, owning a Mitsubishi was a symbol of status and pride as it was a pricey affair of the riches in India. In contemporary world, a Land Rover is the Mitsubishi of older times. Briefing about the making of the car, SFX had a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that offered a maximum power of 120 Bhp along with peak torque of 280 Nm.
All models of Mitsubishi, in the earlier times was imported from Japan as the driver seat of Japan is also on the right side so importing from there did not have any hurdles. When Mitsubishi finally launched Pajero SFX as a premium car in Indian market, the customers mainly bought it for off-roading as it offered high reliability.
The claims of it being a premium or luxury car were not precisely true as it did not have any special features as compared to other models of high end SUV car. Though it has halted its operation in India, many people are waiting for its comeback in the SUV segment.
