Initial steps will focus on cost-effective, short-term solutions such as establishing a one-way traffic system, removing roadside encroachments, reducing signal times, and introducing signal-less traffic management. The Pune Traffic Police and Pune Municipal Corporation will collaborate on these initiatives, targeting critical areas like Navale Bridge and Koregaon Park’s ABC Chowk. Pawar also called for the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technology, proposing a coordination committee with representatives from various agencies, including the Police, Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department, and PMRDA. These efforts aim to ensure smoother and more efficient transportation for Pune’s residents.
