On Saturday, Pune police questioned a 17-year-old boy at the Yerwada observation home, where he has been staying since May 22. The minor, who allegedly drove his Porsche over two IT professionals on May 19, was interrogated from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The boy claimed he was too intoxicated to remember the incident. His mother, who was arrested on Saturday, and crime branch officials, including Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunil Tambe and the district child protection officer, were present during the questioning.
Despite the police’s efforts to gather information, the juvenile remained uncooperative, answering all questions with the same response: he could not recall anything due to his inebriation. Officials inquired about his whereabouts before the accident, his presence at Blak and Cosie pubs, driving the Porsche, details of the accident, evidence tampering, blood sample collection, and medical tests, but received no useful information.
