New Renault Duster 7-seater spied testing, to launch by 2025

The upcoming seven-seater Dacia Bigster, marketed by Renault and Dacia, is set for a global debut next year in India, with a launch by 2025. Recently spotted testing abroad, the Bigster shares several design elements with the latest Duster, such as headlamps, tail lamps, front grille, and squared-off fenders. The SUV features a longer wheelbase and rear overhang to accommodate a third row, appealing to family-based consumers. The trunk lid and number plate holder exhibit slight design changes, while the interior is expected to include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster.

Built on the familiar CMF-B architecture, the Bigster will offer larger dimensions and increased weight, leading to enhanced engine power and torque in some variants, along with an AWD system in top trims. In Europe, it will be sold under the Dacia badge, with Renault likely marketing it elsewhere, including India. Production for Europe will take place at the Mioveni plant in Romania. Current powertrains for the global Duster include a 1.0L TCe 100 engine and a 1.2L turbo petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech, as well as a 1.6L hybrid mill with two electric motors in the Hybrid 140 trim.
