New Ford Endeavour production likely to start in Chennai Plant

New Ford Endeavour & Ranger Clearest Spy Shots Emerge In India

Ford is reportedly planning a mixed manufacturing strategy at its Maraimalainagar plant, focusing on electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids, and internal combustion engine (ICE) models i.e Mustang Mach E and Ford Endeavour respectively. Sources indicate that Ford’s team, led by CEO Jim Farley, is developing compact EV and hybrid models targeted for export to Southeast Asia.

With global EV demand facing uncertainty, especially in markets like China and Southeast Asia, Ford appears to be hedging its bets with hybrids and ICE vehicles alongside EVs. The company will likely make a final decision on the production lineup for the Chennai plant after the US elections in December.
