MG launched the Hector in India back in 2019 and the SUV on a serious note snatched a lot of attention towards it due to it’s Premium appeal, features, comfort, practicality, pricing and what not. Later on, MG Hector ‘Plus’ stepped up into the game with even more practicality and comfort and like the Hector the Hector ‘Plus’ too gathered a great response and even continues to.
WHAT’S NEW WITH THE SAVVY?
The Savvy variant is currently the top-of-the-line variant for MG Cars in India being offered only in it’s flagship SUV, Gloster. With the addition of a new trim the Hector Plus will be propounded with 2 all new features. Firstly, a 4×4 drivetrain, with the addition of which the Hector Plus will become the only Car in the segment with this feature.
Secondly, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) Which if added will not only make the Hector Plus the only car in the segment with this feature but also the first car in the segment to get this feature. ADAS includes automatic braking, automatic parking, adaptive cruise control etc.
POWERTRAIN
MG is dubious about making any sort of mechanical changes with the Hector Plus, So you get the same outgoing Engine a 1.5L petrol motor, 1.5L mild-hybrid motor and a 2.0L diesel engine.
PRICING
Currently, the Hector Plus retails at around 13.73-18.68 lakhs (ex-showroom, PAN India). When the prices of the new ‘savvy variant’ are being concerned the SUV is likely to get expensive by 1 lakh over the ‘sharp’ variant.
