It has been a year now with the launch of the MG’s bestseller, MG Motor India is now aiming towards incorporating some Midlife-updates in the Hector. Thus, updating the Crossover with refreshed styling and design along with additional features.
WHATS NEW?
Firstly, on the exterior front, the major change would be a redesigned grille with horizontal chrome slats similar to the to Hector sold as ‘Captiva’ in South American Markets.
Secondly, addition of new 18-inch wheels which was certainly the most demanded aspect considering the fact that the 17-inch wheels appeared to be quite puny for a Car having a big size and Wheel arches.
Thirdly, on the interior front, it might get a dual-tone theme which is at present only available in the ‘Hector Plus’. Lastly, addition of new features including the auto-dimming inside rear view mirror (IRVM).
ENGINE AND GEARBOX
MG is dubious about making any sort of mechanical changes with the facelifted Hector, So you get the same outgoing Engine a 1.5L petrol motor, 1.5L mild-hybrid motor and a 2.0L diesel engine.
