Maruti Suzuki’s first car featuring Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the eVX electric SUV, is set to hit the market next year. Spotted multiple times during testing across India, the eVX was initially revealed as a concept at Auto Expo 2023 and the Tokyo Motor Show. Unlike its competitors, Maruti currently has no ADAS-equipped models, but this is changing with the launch of the eVX. The SUV is designed to handle India’s diverse and challenging driving conditions, including detecting various types of vehicles and coping with dust, pollution, fog, and smog. The eVX is expected to launch in early to mid-2025, priced between ₹20 lakh and ₹26 lakh, with two battery options offering ranges of 350-400 km and over 500 km.

Maruti is also developing advanced safety features for crowded Indian streets, signaling a broader rollout of ADAS across its lineup. Previously, a 2024 Swift test mule equipped with a blind spot detection system hinted at the brand’s ADAS ambitions. Future models, such as the Maruti Grand Vitara and Maruti Invicto, may also receive this technology. The eVX will feature muscular fenders, production-ready headlamps, unique ORVMs with integrated cameras, and pillar-mounted rear door handles. While interior details remain under wraps, they are expected to align with modern EV standards.
