Maruti Suzuki has reintroduced the mild-hybrid technology in the manual versions of the Brezza, which was initially removed in July 2023. The technology is now available on higher-spec variants, with prices starting at Rs 11.05 lakh.
The mild-hybrid system is offered on the top-spec ZXI and ZXI+ manual variants of the Brezza, priced at Rs 11.05 lakh and Rs 12.48 lakh, respectively.
It is also available on the VXI AT (Rs 11.15 lakh), ZXI AT (Rs 12.55 lakh), and ZXI+ AT (Rs 13.98 lakh) variants.
With the reintroduction of the mild-hybrid technology, the fuel efficiency of the top-spec Brezza has increased from 17.38 kpl to 19.89 kpl. Though slightly lower than the 20.5 kpl figure before discontinuation, this improvement makes the Brezza more fuel-efficient than the Kia Sonet in mild-hybrid form.
The Maruti Fronx remains the most fuel-efficient compact SUV, while the Tata Nexon lags behind in terms of fuel efficiency.
