Maruti Dzire launching in India with a big Sunroof

The fourth-generation Maruti Dzire, anticipated to launch in the second half of 2024, has been frequently spotted testing on Indian roads. Spy shots have revealed several updates, including a revised grille pattern, sleeker headlamps, repositioned fog lamps, and a new front bumper. Additionally, the sedan will feature newly-designed alloy wheels and larger boot space. The 2024 Dzire is set to introduce premium features like a single-pane sunroof and a 360-degree surround camera, marking a first for sub-4-metre sedans in India.

Inside, the new Dzire will boast a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless charger, and connected car technology. The cabin is expected to have a refreshed layout and a new color scheme. Under the hood, the sedan will likely be powered by a new 1.2-litre Z-Series NA petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT gearbox. Select variants might also offer a CNG kit.

For safety, the 2024 Dzire will come equipped with six airbags as standard, a significant upgrade from the current model’s dual airbags. Pricing is expected to be slightly higher than the current model, which starts at Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The new-gen Dzire will compete with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze in the Indian market.
