Mahindra continues to enhance its XUV700 lineup with the upcoming launch of an automatic transmission for the base-spec MX variant. Currently available with only a 6-speed manual transmission in both petrol and diesel versions, the new automatic option will be exclusive to the 5-seater petrol MX variant. Priced at an expected premium of Rs 1.80 lakh over the manual model, the automatic MX variant is poised to strengthen XUV700’s position in the mid-size SUV segment.

Equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine generating 200 PS and 380 Nm, the automatic MX variant will feature the same extensive equipment list as the manual version. This includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Android Auto, USB ports, and multiple safety features. The addition of the automatic transmission is anticipated to attract more buyers, especially those seeking the convenience of automatic driving in urban and highway conditions.
