Mahindra XUV700 likely to go in production by July 2021


Mahindra is likely to launch the XUV700 by August 2021. The Indian Automaker has also listed a seperate web-page for the XUV700 where one can register to get regular updates regarding the crossover.

After carefully going through the recent image from Mahindra’s Pune Plant, it is being expected that the XUV700 might join production by as early as next month with official launch taking place by August 2021. Mahindra XUV500 will be sold along side the XUV700 which will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos as a 5-seater Crossover.

The all-new XUV700 will be propounded with completely new design, styling and silhouette, It is still likely to draw inspiration from XUV500, these include the overall proportions, shoulder line and silhouette. The XUV700 will also get revised grille, New C-shaped headlamps with Boomerang shaped LED DRL’s, New alloy Wheels, New tail-lights along with revamped bumper and tail-gate.

Features

The XUV700 is going to be loaded with all the bells and whistles like fully-digital Driver’s display, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, Electronic parking brake, dual-zone A/C, powered-seats, hill-hold control, multiple drive modes, Panoramic sunroof and memory seats if not. The XUV700 is also expected to be equipped with either a 7-seater configuration or Captain-seats configuration.

Speaking about the highlighted features, the SUV will feature ADAS (Advanced Driver’s assistance system) which includes safety features like adaptive cruise controlautonomous parking assistemergency breaking assist and lane departure warning similar to what we have seen in the MG Gloster.

Engine and Transmission

The XUV700 will be powered by thoroughly new sets of powertrain. The basic trims are expected to be powered by an outgoing 2.2L diesel engines meanwhile the top trims are expected to be powered by a new 2.0L turbo-diesel engine belting out 185 BHP of Power and a new 2.0L turbo-petrol belting out 190 BHP of power.
