Mahindra has reduced the prices of select entry-level and mid-trim variants of its flagship crossover, the XUV700, to boost demand and clear unsold stock. The AX3 Diesel Automatic 7 Seat and AX5 Diesel Automatic 5 Seat variants have received a price cut of Rs. 20,000, while the AX5 Diesel 7 Seater has seen a more significant reduction of Rs. 70,000. The AX5 Diesel 7 Seater manual variant and the AX5 7 Seat manual trims (petrol) have also had their prices slashed by Rs. 50,000. Despite these price cuts, the XUV700 continues to have long waiting times due to strong demand.

The Mahindra XUV700 is available with two engine options: a 2.0-liter mFalcon turbo petrol producing 200 Bhp and 380 Nm, and a 2.2-liter mHawk turbo diesel available in two states of tune – 153 Bhp with 360 Nm, and 182 Bhp with 450 Nm. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. While the petrol variants are front-wheel driven, the diesel trims can be equipped with an all-wheel-drive system. The XUV700 boasts a range of premium features, including a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a Sony 3D sound system, wireless charging, and two 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and the driver’s digital instrument cluster.
The XUV700 has received a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating and is equipped with advanced safety features like ABS, traction control, electronic stability program, and Level 2 ADAS. As Mahindra’s first SUV to offer radar-based ADAS, the XUV700 is a strong competitor in the 7-seat luxury SUV segment, going up against rivals like the Tata Safari. With its combination of size, features, performance, and value, the XUV700 has been a hit in the Indian market, and the recent price cuts are expected to further drive its sales during the festive season.
