Mahindra is set to launch the Thar 5-door on 15th August, with leaked photos revealing its full design. Competing with the Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny, the Thar 5-door offers a blend of off-road capability and everyday practicality.
The Thar 5-door, showcased in vibrant red, features flared wheel arches, a redesigned grille, circular LED headlamps, vertical tail lamps, and a tail-mounted spare wheel. The spacious interior boasts premium materials, dual-tone upholstery, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, an electric sunroof, a digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Safety features include multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, and four-wheel disc brakes. It comes with a 2.0-liter petrol engine delivering 150 horsepower or a 2.2-liter diesel engine with 129 horsepower, both available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The Thar 5-door is priced between Rs 15-20 lakh, targeting adventure seekers with its rugged design, advanced features, and off-road prowess.
