The growing number of off-roading enthusiasts in India has led more people to take their 4X4 SUVs to challenging terrains for adventures. While it’s generally recommended to off-road in groups, some individuals venture out alone and end up in difficult situations. Recently, a video surfaced online showing a Mahindra Scorpio-N getting stuck on a riverbed and needing a JCB for assistance.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Stuck in a Riverbed
In a video shared by Small Town Rider on YouTube, a vlogger documents his trip to rescue a friend whose Mahindra Scorpio-N is stuck in thick mud. Upon reaching the location, the vlogger finds that a tractor was already attempting to pull out the SUV but failed due to a broken tow hook attachment. The Scorpio-N was deeply embedded in the riverbed, with both its front and rear wheels trapped in the hard mud.
JCB to the Rescue
Since the tractor couldn’t do the job, the vlogger suggests bringing in a JCB from a nearby quarry. After assessing the situation, they clear some of the mud surrounding the vehicle to make it easier to free. With a strap attached to the rear right wheel, the JCB makes several attempts and eventually manages to pull the Scorpio-N out of the mud.
The Importance of Off-Roading in Groups
This incident underscores the importance of off-roading with a group. Vehicles often get stuck in challenging conditions, and having multiple vehicles nearby makes it easier to manage such situations. In this case, the vlogger was able to locate a JCB in time; otherwise, rescuing the Scorpio-N would have been far more challenging. The video also serves as a reminder to properly prepare your vehicle for off-roading, including ensuring that essential equipment like tow hooks are in good condition and fully operational.
