According to a recent media report, Kia is preparing to introduce two new entry-level variants for the Sonet, both expected to feature a sunroof as standard.
These upcoming variants, likely to be named HTE (O) and HTK (O), are set to include an electric sunroof as standard equipment. Moreover, the HTK (O) variant is expected to come with additional features such as automatic climate control, a rear defogger, and LED-connected taillamps.
Available with both petrol and diesel engine options, customers will be able to select from a range including a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol, or a 1.5-liter diesel engine. Transmission choices will encompass a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed DCT, exclusively paired with the 1.0L turbo-petrol engine.
Presently, the Kia Sonet lineup comprises seven variants: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line.
