In an horrific accident reported by Nikhil Rana, The Kia Seltos which is said be cruising at a speed of 100+ Kmph crashes at a divider and turns into two pieces, wherein the tail of the car detaches right away after the Crash.
The Seltos scored an average 3-star safety rating in Global NCAP Crash test wherein the Crossover failed to perform well in frontal collision test which grew up a strong distress among the owners as well as netizens considering the price of the Crossover (Around 20 lakhs).
According to the sources, the accident took place in Madhya Pradesh, Sasur, Dream Land wherein 3 people were travelling in the Car who lost their precious life on the spot. Also note, this was top model HTX+ Trim which is sadly only offered with 2 Airbags.
The reporter raises big concerns over Kia Motors India for the double standard safety it offers on Kia Seltos by saying that the Seltos sold in Global Markets are being offered with whole-load of safety techs (5-star rating) including Lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning etc. and the unit sold in India are being exempted from these techs which has resulted in such poor ratings contributing to that further is the ‘unstable‘ structure of the Crossover.
