Jeep has introduced the refreshed 2025 Meridian SUV in India. While it retains much of the pre-facelift model’s appearance, the latest version includes some appealing updates. The SUV is priced between ₹24.99 lakh and ₹36.49 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) and is available in four trims: Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland. Some variants are now up to ₹6 lakh more affordable compared to the previous version. Bookings are open, requiring a token amount of ₹50,000, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of this month.
Design and Seating Options
Although the exterior design remains largely unchanged, the 2025 Meridian is now offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations. Previously, it was only available as a seven-seater. The five-seat option is exclusive to the base Longitude trim, while the higher trims—Longitude Plus, Limited (O), and Overland—continue with the three-row setup. The addition of a five-seater option is expected to attract more buyers, improving its value-for-money proposition.
The design carries forward the same robust and refined look as before, and the cabin layout remains the same but features updated upholstery. The Longitude and Longitude Plus trims now come with Seal Grey upholstery, while the Limited (O) trim gets a new Wicker Beige color scheme.
Features and Technology
The 2025 Meridian introduces new features, particularly in the top-spec Overland variant, which now comes with an advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) suite. This includes features such as adaptive cruise control, smart beam assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and collision mitigation braking.
A 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard across all trims, while the Limited (O) and Overland variants get a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The lower trims, Longitude and Longitude Plus, feature semi-digital instrument clusters. A panoramic sunroof is available starting from the Longitude Plus trim, adding to the cabin’s open and spacious feel.
Additional notable features include a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, wireless charging, and Jeep’s upgraded Uconnect suite, which now includes over 30 new functions. However, the base Longitude trim lacks some features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless phone charger, and rear seatbelt reminders.
Powertrain and Performance
The 2025 Meridian continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder MultiJet diesel engine, producing 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The SUV is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. The base Longitude and Longitude Plus trims come with 4×2, while the Limited (O) and Overland trims offer 4×4. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a nine-speed torque converter automatic, with the top-spec Overland variant only available with the automatic transmission.
Safety remains a top priority in the 2025 Jeep Meridian, which comes with six airbags and disc brakes on all four wheels as standard across the range. The inclusion of ADAS in the Overland trim enhances its safety profile further.
The updated Jeep Meridian is priced from ₹24.99 lakh for the base Longitude trim to ₹36.49 lakh for the top-spec Overland variant. With the introduction of the five-seat version and features like ADAS, Jeep aims to appeal to a broader range of buyers. The revised pricing and feature set make the Meridian more competitive and value-for-money in its segment.
