A customer visited Saifuel Vadodara, a specialist in CNG fitment, to install a CNG kit in their Innova Hycross—marking it as the first of its kind to receive such a modification. The shop imported a Euro Gas Poland CNG kit, which includes an ECU, ECM, CNG tank, and reducer.
Impact on Boot Space & Performance
Given that the Innova Hycross already has limited boot space with the third-row seats in use, the CNG installation further decreased luggage capacity. Saifuel Vadodara shared a video of the modification, featuring a dashboard-mounted switch to switch between petrol and CNG, along with an indicator to show the current fuel mode.
The customer reported no loss in pickup or performance following the installation. While specific fuel economy figures weren’t provided, they anticipate notable improvements over the standard hybrid version.
