Hyundai Creta EV is in works and recent spy shots during testing reveal that it takes design cues from the updated Creta model. The electric version has unique features like a closed-off front ‘grille’ that might house a charging port, similar to the Kona Electric. The spy shots also show new aerodynamic 17-inch wheels, with the possibility of 18-inch ones.
Inside, the Creta EV is expected to be similar to the updated model but might borrow some design elements from the Ioniq 5. It will run on a 45kWh battery from LG Chem, slightly smaller than competitors but larger than the Nexon EV. The estimated range for the Creta EV is around 450km on a full charge (Certified and not real world).
The electric motor in the Creta EV is likely to be the same as the entry-level Kona EV, providing about 138hp and 255Nm of torque. This makes the Creta EV Hyundai’s third electric vehicle for the Indian market.
