BMW’s Motorcycle Smartglasses Are A Heads-Up Display For Your Face

BMW plans to introduce Smartglasses designed specifically for motorcycle riders. These glasses resemble sunglasses and feature a heads-up display on the right lens, providing riders with important information such as navigation, speed, and gear without having to take their eyes off the road.

The position of the displayed information can be adjusted for individual riders, and the glasses can be connected to a smart device via Bluetooth through the BMW Motorrad Connected app. They come in two sizes and are compatible with various helmet types. The glasses include two sets of lenses for different helmet visors and can even be customized with prescription lenses.

Powered by a lithium-ion battery, they can last up to 10 hours and are designed to function in a wide range of temperatures. While they come at a relatively high price of Rs. 62,539 ($757 USD), the advanced technology they offer makes them a valuable tool for motorcycle riders.
