This is the drag race which is definitely not meant to be missed especially if you are the one who wonders weather the New hybridized technology engines can keep up with naturally aspirated combustion engines. The Audi R8 V10 plus and Acura NSX may be identically sized mid-engined supercars but under the hood, they are utterly contrasting.
Audi on one side comes across as traditional Supercar due to it’s high revving, naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 Engine pumping out 602 Horsepower. Meanwhile on the other side the Acura NSX flaunts it’s complex hybrid powertrain consisting of a Twin-Turbocharged V6 engine pumping out 573 Horsepower, operating under no less than three electric Motors which unsurprisingly adds 180 Kgs of additional heft to it.

So, in the first straight-up drag race went off the line exceptionally well, but it was the R8 that could easily grab an early lead. In the second attempt, the two rolled off at 48 km/h though the NSX did manage to get slight early lead but once again it was the Audi which absolutely faced no struggle to catch-up and sail past the NSX. In the third attempt, the race started off with a standing start. Now a huge appreciation for the instant torque propounded by the Electric Motors, the NSX galloped with grace off the line taking the lead in it’s feet. Did it manage to defeat the Audi?
