test mule of the Mahindra Thar 5-door, potentially named the Thar Armada, has been spotted once again, revealing a dual-pane sunroof for the first time. This new feature suggests that the higher variants of the Thar Armada could offer a first-in-segment dual-pane sunroof, while the lower variants may come with a single-pane sunroof.
Additionally, the Thar Armada is expected to feature diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED headlamps and taillights, and a variety of interior upgrades including electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, reading lamps for rear passengers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with a 9-speaker Harman-Kardon audio system, a digital instrument cluster, and an auto-dimming IRVM.

The Thar Armada will be powered by the same engines as the standard Thar, which includes a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, both available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. There are also reports of an entry-level 1.5-litre diesel engine option. The Thar Armada’s launch is anticipated to be on August 15, 2024.
