Mahindra & Mahindra has several new SUVs lined up, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric models. Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming:
1. Mahindra XUV 3X0 EV: Mahindra plans to introduce an electric version of the newly launched XUV 3X0 by the end of this year. Positioned below the XUV400, this model is expected to offer a range of 350-400 km, targeting the base and mid-range versions of the Nexon EV and Tata Punch EV.
2. Mahindra Thar Roxx 4WD: The recently launched Mahindra Thar Roxx is priced between ₹12.99 lakh and ₹20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The 4WD version is available exclusively with the diesel engine, delivering higher power and torque compared to the 4X2 variants. Full pricing details will be revealed on October 3, 2024, when bookings open. Test drives begin on September 14, with deliveries starting in mid-October. The 4WD diesel trims are expected to be ₹1.2 lakh more expensive than the 4X2 counterparts.
3. & 4. Mahindra XUV.e8 & XUV.e9: Early next year, Mahindra is set to launch the XUV.e8, an electric SUV inspired by the XUV700. The design will remain close to its concept version, featuring a triple-screen layout and a revamped two-spoke steering wheel. Built on the INGLO platform, this flagship EV is expected to offer over 500 km of range. The XUV.e9, a coupe-styled version of the XUV.e8, is slated for a 2025 launch.
5. Mahindra BE.05: By late 2025, Mahindra is expected to introduce the BE.05, which was first showcased as a concept. The BE.05, which has been spotted during road tests, is expected to deliver a range of over 600 km.
