The 2024 Land Cruiser Prado has been spotted in India, with videos surfacing online that show the SUV being transported on a flatbed.
Global Debut and Positioning
Making its global debut in August 2023, the latest Land Cruiser Prado was first launched in the US market. It is positioned just below the Land Cruiser LC300 in Toyota’s SUV lineup.
Design and Features
The new Prado adopts a rugged and boxy design. The front features a prominent grille with vertical slats, suggesting that this might be the Prado VX variant. It is accompanied by rectangular LED headlights and a robust front bumper that includes integrated fog lights. The rear design is more traditional.
Inside, the Prado boasts a tough and practical cabin layout, highlighted by a large central touchscreen and a sturdy 3-spoke steering wheel. It also offers three rows of seating, each with its own dedicated AC vents for enhanced comfort.
Engine and Powertrain
In certain markets, the Land Cruiser Prado is equipped with a 2.8-litre diesel mild-hybrid engine that delivers 201 BHP and 500 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Toyota also provides a 2.4-litre petrol hybrid powertrain as an alternative option.
