Tata Motors has seen success with popular models like the Nexon and Punch, with the Safari serving as the brand’s flagship. While the Safari has undergone significant changes from its original design, a rendering by Bimble Designs imagines the original Tata Safari Storme’s appearance if relaunched in 2024.
The rendering maintains the iconic design but updates it to align with the current automotive landscape. Changes include a refreshed front fascia with smoked headlights, twin-pod LED DRLs, a satin black grille, and a horizontal cut on the lower bumper. The rendering also envisions new alloy wheels, modern ORVMs with 360-degree cameras, and updated LED tail lights at the rear.
The spare wheel under the frame remains iconic. While the interior details aren’t covered, expectations include seven seats and modern amenities. In terms of powertrains, Tata could consider using the 2.2L or 3.0L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engines from its commercial lineup for the Safari Storme. Anticipated pricing falls below the Harrier and slightly above the upcoming Curvv. The rendering speculates on the potential success of relaunching the Safari Storme, given its historical impact as India’s first indigenous VIP car.
