Mahindra & Mahindra will officially start taking reservations for the Thar Roxx on October 3, 2024, with customer deliveries set to begin on October 12 in India. While select dealerships have already started accepting offline bookings, the waiting period in some major cities has extended to as long as three months.
This delay could increase further once online bookings open. Recently, Mahindra has been increasing production to reduce wait times for its popular models, and given the strong early interest in the off-road SUV, it will be interesting to see how the company manages demand.
The prices for the 4WD variants of the Thar Roxx were announced a few days ago, and it is available exclusively with a diesel engine. The base model is priced at Rs. 12.99 lakh, while the top-end variant costs Rs. 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Compared to the three-door Thar, the Thar Roxx is larger, offering more interior space and enhanced practicality. The feature list is also more premium than that of its three-door counterpart.
