The Mahindra Thar 5-door is set to launch in India soon and has generated a lot of excitement among SUV enthusiasts. The SUV, known for its rugged performance and off-road capabilities, is undergoing testing with heavily camouflaged prototypes spotted on the roads. However, a recent video circulating online showed the 5-door Thar struggling in mud, disappointing some fans who expected better off-road performance.
The new Thar 5-door will look similar to the current model but will have a longer wheelbase, providing more space for passengers and cargo. It will retain its boxy shape with tall pillars and is expected to come with new alloy wheels. The launch is scheduled for 2024, and it’s anticipated to be more successful than the 3-door version due to its practicality and size.
The SUV will be powered by the same diesel and petrol engines as the current model. Spy images suggest that it may have optional features like a sunroof and roof-mounted speakers, similar to other Mahindra models. Inside, there will be a larger touchscreen infotainment system and redesigned seats and steering wheel. Overall, the Thar 5-door aims to offer a more spacious and feature-rich experience compared to its predecessor.
