Newly surfaced spy images provide a closer look at the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door, revealing details of the SUV’s digital instrument cluster and interior features.
The Thar 5-door variant is expected to come equipped with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a new 3-spoke steering wheel. The digital instrument cluster, visible in the images, includes a speedometer and a multi-information display on the right-hand side.
Anticipated features for the Thar 5-door include an electric sunroof option and roof-mounted speakers, similar to those found in the Scorpio N and XUV700.
The Thar 5-door will share the same engine options as the 3-door version. This includes a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 130 BHP and 300 Nm, and a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an output of 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm. Both engines are likely to be available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
Production of the Mahindra Thar 5-door is expected to commence in June, with the SUV set to be launched in the second half of this year.
