Hyundai Motor India Limited has generated excitement across the country with the launch of the updated Creta facelift. The 2024 Creta, featuring a revamped exterior and interior design, has been unveiled in India with seven variants, and the base E variant has garnered attention.
The popularity of the base E variant, priced at Rs 10.99 lakh. The presenter mentions that Hyundai chose to comprehensively revamp the Creta specifically for the Indian automotive market rather than introducing the international facelift model. During the exterior walkaround, the presenter showcases the imposing front fascia with the new rectangular grille, matte grey elements, and inverted L-shaped halogen-based pilot lights. The vertically stacked headlights feature a halogen projector for low beam and reflector-based high beam halogen lamps. The front end also sports a new matte silver Hyundai logo, a silver skid plate, and an all-new bumper.
The side profile remains unchanged, retaining the 16-inch steel wheels with an older wheel cover design. A silver C-pillar element and blacked-out A and B pillars enhance the aesthetics. The rear end has undergone a complete revamp, featuring new LED-connected taillights with halogen reverse and brake lights. The reverse light is positioned in the middle of the lower rear bumper.
Transitioning to the interior, the presenter showcases the new dual-tone theme of light grey and white. The base variant lacks an infotainment system or advanced digital instrument gauge cluster but retains a decent digital instrument gauge cluster with essential features like a tyre pressure monitoring system. Other features include a manual air conditioning system, all-four power windows, and a center armrest. Safety features include six airbags, ABS, EBD, and Vehicle Stability Program.
The presenter concludes by highlighting the powertrain, indicating that the 2024 model retains the old engines. The base variant is powered by a 1.5-litre CRDI VGT diesel engine producing 118 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
