2022 Hyundai Creta Speculatively rendered for the first time

slider image

The Latest Hyundai Creta made it’s global debut back in 2019 in China. Unlike the previous gen Creta which had simplistic yet effective design and styling the new one follows the route of sophistication and urbanity.

Hyundai seems unsatisfied with it’s expectation from the latest-gen Creta. The Crossover even after being supremely loaded with latest of techs and kits will see further updates in it. Moreover, a test mule of the Hyundai Creta facelift was recently spotted testing around in south  korea being heavily camouflaged, which hasn’t stopped the artists to create speculative renders out of it.

Exteriors

Going through the overall design and styling of the Render, It seems the Creta follows the brands latest Design theme called ‘Sensous Sportiness’ on which the Latest-Gen Hyundai Tucson is based. At the front, it has LED DRL’s connecting harmoniously into the 3D grille in order to give even more eye-catchy appeal.

The render suggests that the Vertical LED headlamps has been repositioned at a bit downer side to liberate space for placement of Horizontal LED DRL’s similar to the Hyundai Palisade. Overall, compared to the front-fascia of current Hyundai Creta, this front fascia is far ahead of the former in terms of the design and layout.

At the rear, Hyundai is unlikely to play with the styling theme Except some cosmetic minor tweaks. Given the fact that the Crossover already looks futuristic from the rear, the Crossover will continue with the outgoing design. However, the render says a different story. There are new sets of Tail lights being connected via a thin chrome strip which is similarly followed for the reflectors as well, placed just below the tail-lamps.

Features

Apart from the Features the outgoing Creta has on offer, The 2022 Hyundai Creta is likely to be offered with 18-inch wheels, Forward collision assist, Rear cross traffic alert, heads-up display, land departure warning, lane keep assist, pedestrian detection etc.

Engine and Transmission

Currently, the Hyundai Creta is offered with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 hp of power and 144 Nm of torque, a  1.4-liter GDI turbo-petrol motor producing 140 hp and 242 Nm and a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 115 hp and 250 Nm. The NA petrol engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or an iVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) whereas the turbo-petrol engine is available with a 7-DCT. The Diesel Mill is offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter. However, a mild-hybrid tech is likely to be offered as an addition over the outgoing Creta.

India Launch

Since the Creta is already equipped with Hyundai’s latest bells and whistles, the Korean Carmaker is unlikely to unveil the Creta at least in 2021. China is going to be the country where the facelifted Creta will make it’s first debut followed by other markets. In all honesty, expect the 2022 Hyundai Creta approaching Indian shores by as late as end of 2022.
