2021 Tata Tiago CNG spotted testing completely undisguised


Tata Motors president, Passenger Vehicles, Shailesh Chandra recently confirmed that in FY22 Customers will have an option of choosing factory-fitted CNG Cars for some of their models. The first Cars to be equipped with factory-fitted CNG tank will be Tiago and Tigor, soon Altroz too will join the CNG lineup.

In a video uploaded by The Fat Biker, one can notice that the Tiago is being spotted completely undisguised (without camouflage) indicating that the launch is not too far away, likely to have a 12kg/60 litres of tank meaning that they will loose a good amount of boot space.

The CNG variant of the Tiago will be powered by the standard 1.2L petrol motor producing 85 Bhp and 113 Nm. however, the figures are expected to be marginally low. Likely to deliver a fuel economy between 30-35 Km per kg, which will make this hatchback an extremely economical city commuter in the days of skyrocketing Petrol and Diesel prices.

The CNG variant is expected to be Rs. 50000-60000 expensive than it’s equivalent petrol counterpart, The Car captured in the footage happens to be XT Variant, but dont worry even the top-most trim XZ is likely to have a CNG configuration. Once launched, will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG and Hyundai Santro CNG>
